Reel Life presents Film Festival
Reel Life, the in house film club of the LifeHouse in conjunction with the African Film Festival, New York, will hold the first edition of their Film Festival from Friday September 30 to Sunday October 2. The Film Festival, which is free, will hold at the LifeHouse, 33 Sinari Daranijo Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. Some of the films to be screened at the festival are White Wedding, directed by Jaan Turner; Ava, directed by Chika Anadu; Sex, Okra and Salted Butter, directed by Mahamat Saleh-Haroun and One Small Step, directed by Remi Vaughan-Richards.
Kachifo Limited, publishers of the Farafina imprint, is launching Eghosa Imasuen’s new book, ‘Fine Boys’, at Terra Kulture, Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria Island by 7pm on Friday September 30.
DreamPlayHouse Theatre will be performing Wole Oguntokun’s Prison Chronicles at Bogobiri on the 3rd, 9th and 16th of October.
According to the producers, “Prison Chronicles is beyond a story of suppression; it is a well crafted tale of hope told through humour, gripping dialogue and song.”
The play is directed by Kenneth Uphopho and produced by DreamPlayHouse’s Ifeanyi Dibia. Tickets for the event are available at The Hub and Bogobiri House among other places for N2,500 and N5,000.
